With a record of 186-76-2 over 23 seasons, Creasy finished his career as the most valuable lineman in 1964. After that, he began his career as a head coach at Central-Florence before succeeding Manley at Colbert County.
Before coaching for two years at Coffee, he held the role for 12 years. In 1979 and 1985, Creasy led Colbert County to two state titles. He spent his final four seasons as a coach at Mountain Brook.
Additionally, Creasy served as the head coach for one Alabama-Mississippi and two state all-star games. In 1972 and 1985, he received the Alabama High School Coach of the Year award. In 1998, Don Creasy was admitted into the AHSAA Hall of Fame.

On Tuesday, October 4, 2022, Don Creasy was killed in an automobile accident. Age-wise, he was 79. Creasy was killed in a sad event that occurred while the bus was driving.
The single-vehicle collision that claimed Don Creasy’s life occurred on Cox Boulevard in Sheffield at roughly 1:11 PM on Tuesday, according to a Shoals Insider story that was sent over Facebook.

Cox Boulevard has been designated as a crime scene by the Sheffield Police Department. The cause of the tragic incident and who was to blame is now being ascertained.
